• Voice: The teacher raised her voice to be heard over the noise. (رفعت المعلمة صوتها لتسمع فوق الضجيج.) This is about the volume of her speech.

• Expression: His angry expression scared me. (تعبيره الغاضب خوّفني.) This describes his facial look indicating anger.

يمكننا أيضًا استخدام "voice" للإشارة إلى الرأي أو وجهة النظر، كما في: "The article gave voice to the concerns of the community." (أعطت المقالة صوتًا لمخاوف المجتمع.) لكن هذا الاستخدام مختلف عن المعنى الأساسي للصوت.
