ពាក្យ “create” និង “make” ជាពាក្យអង់គ្លេសពីរដែលមានន័យស្រដៀងគ្នា ប៉ុន្តែមានភាពខុសគ្នាសំខាន់ៗ។ “Create” សំដៅទៅលើការបង្កើតអ្វីមួយដែលថ្មី ដើម ឬមានភាពច្នៃប្រឌិតខ្ពស់ ដែលមិនធ្លាប់មានពីមុនមក។ ចំណែក “make” គឺសំដៅទៅលើការផលិត ឬការធ្វើអ្វីមួយឡើង ដោយប្រើសម្ភារៈ ឬធនធានដែលមានស្រេច។

• Make: She made a cake for her birthday. (នាងបានធ្វើនំខេកសម្រាប់ខួបកំណើតរបស់នាង។) This sentence shows that she used ingredients to produce a cake. The cake is made from existing elements, but it's a new thing in the sense of it didn't exist until she made it.

• Create: The writer created a fascinating story. (អ្នកនិពន្ធបានបង្កើតរឿងរ៉ាវគួរឲ្យចាប់អារម្មណ៍មួយ។) The story is entirely original and imaginative.

• Make: The carpenter made a chair. (ជាងឈើបានធ្វើកៅអីមួយ។) The carpenter assembled pre-existing materials (wood, etc.) to create a chair.
