• Separate: The fighting brothers were separated by their parents. (പിണങ്ങിയ സഹോദരങ്ങളെ അവരുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ വേർതിരിച്ചു.) Here, two distinct individuals (brothers) are being separated.

• Divide: We divided the work among ourselves. (ഞങ്ങൾ ജോലി ഞങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ വിഭജിച്ചു.) Here, the work (one task) is being divided amongst multiple people.

• Separate: The recycling center separates plastics from metals. (റീസൈക്ലിംഗ് സെന്റർ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്കുകളെ ലോഹങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് വേർതിരിക്കുന്നു.) Here, different materials are being separated.
