“Attract” နဲ့ “Allure” ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးဟာ အပေါ်ယံကြည့်ရင် အတူတူပဲလို့ ထင်ရပေမယ့် တကယ်တမ်း သုံးတဲ့အခါမှာတော့ အနည်းငယ်ကွာခြားပါတယ်။ Attract ဆိုတာ ယေဘုယျအားဖြင့် တစ်စုံတစ်ခုက တစ်ခြားတစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ဆွဲဆောင်တဲ့သဘောပါ။ ဥပမာ magnets attract metal. (သံလိုက်က သတ္တုကို ဆွဲဆောင်တယ်။) Allure ဆိုတာကတော့ ပိုပြီး ထူးခြားတဲ့ ဆွဲဆောင်မှုမျိုးပါ။ နည်းနည်းလျှင်မြင်ချင်စရာ၊ ဆန်းကြယ်တဲ့ ဆွဲဆောင်မှုမျိုးပါ။ ဒါကြောင့် Allure ကို သုံးတဲ့အခါ စိတ်ဝင်စားမှု၊ သိချင်စိတ်၊ စွဲလန်းမှုတွေကို ဖော်ပြလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ The mysterious island allured many explorers. (နက်နဲတဲ့ကျွန်းဟာ စူးစမ်းရှာဖွေသူတွေကို ဆွဲဆောင်ခဲ့တယ်။)

• Attract:
  • The colorful flowers attract bees. (ရောင်စုံပန်းတွေက ပျားတွေကို ဆွဲဆောင်တယ်။)
  • The advertisement is designed to attract customers. (ဒီကြော်ငြာကို ဖောက်သည်တွေကို ဆွဲဆောင်ဖို့ ရည်ရွယ်ပါတယ်။)
• Allure:
  • The allure of the big city drew her in. (မြို့ကြီးရဲ့ ဆွဲဆောင်မှုက သူမကို ဆွဲငင်ခဲ့တယ်။)
  • He was allured by the promise of adventure. (စွန့်စားခန်းရဲ့ကတိကြောင့် သူ စွဲလန်းခဲ့တယ်။)
