“Critical” နဲ့ “crucial” ဆိုတဲ့ English စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးဟာ တခါတလေ တူညီတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ကို ပြောတယ်လို့ ထင်ရပေမယ့် သူတို့ရဲ့ nuance (အနုစိတ်ကွာခြားချက်) ကတော့ အရမ်းကွာပါတယ်။ “Critical” ဆိုတာက အရေးပါတယ်၊ အရေးကြီးတယ်လို့ ဆိုလိုတဲ့အပြင်၊ တစ်ခုခုကို ဝေဖန်တာ၊ စိစစ်တာနဲ့ ပတ်သက်ပြီးလည်း သုံးပါတယ်။ “Crucial” ကတော့ တစ်ခုခုအတွက် အလွန်အရေးကြီးတယ်၊ မရှိမဖြစ်လိုအပ်တယ် ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ပါ။

• Critical: The doctor said his condition is critical. (ဆရာဝန်က သူ့ရဲ့ အခြေအနေက အရေးပါတယ်လို့ ပြောပါတယ်။)
• Crucial: His support is crucial to the project's success. (သူ့ရဲ့ အကူအညီက ဒီ project အောင်မြင်ဖို့ အရေးပါပါတယ်။)
• Crucial: It's crucial that we get this done before the deadline. (သတ်မှတ်ရက် မတိုင်ခင် ဒါကို လုပ်ပြီးစီးရမှာ အရေးပါပါတယ်။)

“Critical” ကို တစ်ခုခုကို စိစစ်ဝေဖန်တဲ့ အနေနဲ့လည်း သုံးလို့ရပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ - The professor gave a critical analysis of the poem. (ပါမောက္ခက ကဗျာကို စိစစ်ဝေဖန်တဲ့ လေ့လာချက် ပေးခဲ့တယ်။) “Crucial” ကတော့ အဲဒီလိုမျိုး အဓိပ္ပါယ်မပါဘူး။ ဒီတော့ စကားလုံး သုံးတဲ့အခါ အဓိပ္ပါယ် သေချာ သုံးသင့်ပါတယ်။
