"Deny" နဲ့ "Reject" ဆိုတဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားလုံး နှစ်လုံးဟာ တစ်ခုခုကို ငြင်းပယ်တယ် ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်တူပေမယ့် သုံးစွဲပုံမှာတော့ ကွာခြားချက်ရှိပါတယ်။ "Deny" ကတော့ တစ်ခုခုကို   မှန်ကန်တယ်လို့   မသိရှိဘူးလို့   ဒါမှမဟုတ်   မဖြစ်ဘူးလို့ ငြင်းဆိုတာကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ "Reject" ကတော့ တစ်ခုခုကို လက်မခံဘူး၊ ပယ်ချလိုက်တယ် ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ပါ။

ဥပမာ ကြည့်ရအောင်။

• Deny: He denied breaking the window. (သူက ပြတင်းပေါက် ခွဲတာကို ငြင်းဆိုတယ်။) This sentence means he said it wasn't true that he broke the window. He might be lying.

• Reject: He rejected the job offer. (သူက အလုပ်အကြောင်း ကမ်းလှမ်းချက်ကို ပယ်ချလိုက်တယ်။) This sentence means he didn't accept the job offer. It doesn't necessarily imply he's lying about anything.

• Deny: She denied knowing him. (သူမက သူ့ကို မသိဘူးလို့ ငြင်းဆိုတယ်။) This implies she claims to have no knowledge of the person.

• Reject: The company rejected his application. (ကုမ္ပဏီက သူ့ရဲ့ လျှောက်လွှာကို ပယ်ချလိုက်တယ်။) This means the company chose not to accept his application.

• Deny: The government denied the accusations of corruption. (အစိုးရက လာဘ်စားမှု စွပ်စွဲချက်တွေကို ငြင်းဆိုတယ်။) This shows the government is claiming the accusations are untrue.

• Reject: The teacher rejected his essay because of the poor grammar. (ဆရာက သူ့ရဲ့ စာတမ်းကို စာလုံးပေါင်း ညံ့ဖျင်းလို့ ပယ်ချလိုက်တယ်။) This means the essay wasn't accepted due to a specific reason - poor grammar.
