“Option” နဲ့ “Choice” ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးဟာ တချို့ကိစ္စတွေမှာ တူညီတယ်လို့ထင်ရပေမယ့် သူတို့ရဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်နဲ့ သုံးစွဲပုံမှာ ကွာခြားချက်တွေရှိပါတယ်။ “Option” ဆိုတာ တစ်ခုခုကို ရွေးချယ်ဖို့ရှိတဲ့ အရာတွေထဲက တစ်ခုခုကို ဆိုလိုတာဖြစ်ပြီး “Choice” ဆိုတာကတော့ တကယ်တမ်း ရွေးချယ်လိုက်တဲ့ အရာကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။

ဥပမာ -

• You have three options: A, B, or C. (ရွေးချယ်စရာ သုံးခုရှိတယ်- A, B ဒါမှမဟုတ် C)
  Here, options are the things you can choose from.

• I made my choice. I picked option B. (ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မ ရွေးချယ်ခဲ့ပြီးပါပြီ။ B ကို ရွေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။) Here, “choice” refers to the actual decision made, while “option B” was one of the things available to be chosen.

“Option” ကို ပိုပြီး formal သုံးနိုင်ပြီး “Choice” ကို informal သုံးလည်း သုံးနိုင်ပါတယ်။

• We have several options for solving this problem. (ဒီပြဿနာကို ဖြေရှင်းဖို့ ရွေးချယ်စရာ အချက်အလက် အများကြီး ရှိပါတယ်။)
• I have a lot of choices in what I eat. (ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မ စားချင်တာတွေ အများကြီး ရွေးချယ်ခွင့်ရှိတယ်။)

“Option” ဟာ တစ်ခုခုရဲ့ အခြားရွေးချယ်စရာတစ်ခုအနေနဲ့လည်း သုံးနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ - “The option to pay later is available.” (နောက်မှ ပေးချေမယ့် ရွေးချယ်ခွင့် ရှိပါတယ်။) ဒါပေမယ့် “Choice” ကတော့ အဲ့လိုမျိုး သုံးလို့မရပါဘူး။
