"Trace" နဲ့ "track" ဆိုတဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးဟာ တူညီတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်တွေ ပါဝင်ပေမယ့် သုံးစွဲပုံမှာတော့ ကွာခြားချက်ရှိပါတယ်။ "Trace" က ပုံသဏ္ဌာန် ဒါမှမဟုတ် လမ်းကြောင်း သေးသေးလေးတွေကို လိုက်ရှာတာကို ဆိုလိုပြီး "track" က ပိုကြီးတဲ့ လမ်းကြောင်း ဒါမှမဟုတ် လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွေကို လိုက်ရှာတာကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ "Trace" ဟာ လမ်းကြောင်းကို လိုက်ရှာရာမှာ ပိုပြီး သေးငယ်ပြီး တိကျတဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းစဉ်ကို ဖော်ပြတာဖြစ်ပြီး "track" ကတော့ ပိုကြီးမားပြီး ကျယ်ပြန့်တဲ့ လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွေကို လိုက်ရှာတာကို ဖော်ပြပါတယ်။

ဥပမာ -

• Trace: The detective traced the killer's movements to a nearby town. (ရဲတပ်ဖွဲ့က လူသတ်သမားရဲ့ လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွေကို အနီးနားမြို့မှာ ခြေရာခံခဲ့တယ်။)

• Track: The hunters tracked the deer through the forest. (သားရဲလိုက်ရှာသူတွေက တောထဲမှာ ကျားကို ခြေရာခံခဲ့တယ်။)

• Trace: She carefully traced the outline of the leaf onto the paper. (သူမက ቅጠልရဲ့ ပုံသဏ္ဌာန်ကို စာရွက်ပေါ် သေသေချာချာ ကြမ်းကြမ်းချွေခဲ့တယ်။)

• Track: We tracked the progress of the project using a spreadsheet. (ကျွန်တော်တို့က စာရွက်စာတမ်းတစ်ခုကို အသုံးပြုပြီး စီမံကိန်းရဲ့ တိုးတက်မှုကို ခြေရာခံခဲ့ကြတယ်။)

• Trace: The doctor traced the source of the infection to contaminated water. (ဆရာဝန်က ကူးစက်ရောဂါရဲ့ အရင်းအမြစ်ကို ညစ်ညမ်းနေတဲ့ ရေကနေ ခြေရာခံခဲ့တယ်။)

• Track: The school tracks the academic performance of each student. (ကျောင်းက ကျောင်းသားတစ်ယောက်ချင်းစီရဲ့ ပညာရေး စွမ်းဆောင်ရည်ကို ခြေရာခံတယ်။)
