"Visible" နဲ့ "seen" ဆိုတဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားလုံးနှစ်လုံးဟာ တချို့က တူညီတယ်လို့ ထင်ကြပေမယ့် တကယ်တမ်းမှာတော့ သိသာထင်ရှားတဲ့ ကွာခြားချက်တွေ ရှိပါတယ်။ "Visible" ဆိုတာက "မြင်နိုင်တယ်" ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ် ဖြစ်ပြီး တစ်စုံတစ်ခုဟာ မြင်နိုင်တဲ့ สถานะ (state) ကို ဖော်ပြတာပါ။ "Seen" ကတော့ "မြင်ခဲ့ပြီးပြီ" ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ် ဖြစ်ပြီး တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို တကယ် မြင်ခဲ့ပြီး ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံကို ဖော်ပြတာပါ။

ဥပမာ စာကြောင်းလေးတွေ ကြည့်ကြရအောင်။

• The stars are visible tonight. (တကယ်လို့ ကောင်းကင်ကြည်လင်ရင် ကြယ်တွေကို ဒီည မြင်နိုင်ပါတယ်) Here, "visible" describes the state of the stars – they can be seen.

• I have seen the stars many times. (ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မ ကြယ်တွေကို အကြိမ်ကြိမ် မြင်ဖူးပါတယ်) Here, "seen" describes a past action – the act of seeing the stars has already happened.

• The mountain is visible from the top of the hill. (တောင်ကြီးကို တောင်ကုန်းထိပ်ကနေ မြင်နိုင်ပါတယ်) Again, "visible" describes the possibility of seeing something.

• We have seen the mountain many times before. (ကျွန်တော်တို့/ကျွန်မတို့ တောင်ကြီးကို အရင်က အကြိမ်ကြိမ် မြင်ဖူးပြီးပါပြီ) "Seen" indicates a past experience.

ဒါကြောင့် "visible" နဲ့ "seen" ကို သုံးတဲ့ အခါမှာ မြင်နိုင်တဲ့ အခြေအနေကို ဖော်ပြချင်ရင် "visible" ကို သုံးပြီး ၊ မြင်ခဲ့ပြီးပြီဆိုတဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံကို ဖော်ပြချင်ရင်တော့ "seen" ကို သုံးရမယ်ဆိုတာ သတိပြုရပါမယ်။
