Safe vs. Secure:

  • Safe: The house is safe for children to play in. This means the house is free from physical danger.
  • Secure: I feel secure knowing that my money is in the bank. This refers to a feeling of safety and freedom from worry.
  • Safe: The food is safe to eat. This means the food will not make you sick.
  • Secure: The company uses secure servers to protect customer data. This means the data is protected from being stolen or lost.
  • Safe: The bridge is safe to drive on. This implies no structural problems that could cause harm.
  • Secure: My future feels more secure now that I have a job. This refers to a stable and reliable condition.
